Hello...my name is Tak. Thats short for something, but who really gives a shit. I'm the keyboardist for the Psychedelic Rock band Strangefire. I'm not real sure what I intend to do with this blog yet...but mostly I'm sure it will be a place for me to relay my thoughts about music and the music industry.
I have been a musician all my life as far as I know and I love what we are doing with Strangefire...being on the cutting edge as an independent musician in this new CyberMarket of Mp3s, webstores, and various other bullshit designed to make the musician more accessible to a mass audience while simultaneously allowing their fans to SCREW them out of royalties even quicker than they could before has given us quite a FUCKING LIFT IN SPIRITS as of late. But what the hell. I'm USED to getting screwed.
Not that I have all that much to bitch about or anyone to bitch TO for that matter. We have gained worldwide exposure as a band without ever having to leave the States. We are listed in Wiki under neo-psychedelia. We have videos, cds, and a whole host of other forms of music available to the public. SO...all in all we have done ok. We have fans all over whom we adore and whom we truly feel love us.
We have made MP3s and Cds available for FREE all over the web and have gained some great exposure. Now we have released our new CD Ezion. Some of our best work to date. We are asking $8 per CD. Not bad for the amount of work we put into it. We hope you enjoy it.
